Oguzhan Ozyakup signed the contract – Besiktas president

Oguzhan Ozyakup signed new contract says Besiktas president Fikret Orman

Besiktas president Fikret Orman says Oguzhan Ozyakup has signed a new contract.

During a beINSports interview at Vodafone Park, Besiktas president Fikret Orman claimed midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup has signed a new contract.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League as clubs like Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle United have allegedly made contact with the player’s representatives.

However, Orman said the player has agreed to a new contract and more is expected of him next season.

“Oguzhan signed it [the contract]. I also signed it. We will announce it soon. We weren’t happy with his performances last season, next season we expect more of him,” he answered as the reporter asked him about the midfielder’s situation.

It seems the former Arsenal midfielder will remain with Besiktas for the time being.

The president also answered questions about the possibility of former Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes returning to the club and the departure of Brazilian attacking midfielder Talisca.

“We told Talisca we will pay the necessary transfer fee. He said ‘I don’t want to stay at Besiktas’. Talisca’s life is based on money,” he explained regarding the Brazilian’s move to China.
