Besiktas' possible opponents in Europe League qualifier revealed

The Super Lig club will enter the competition in the second qualifying round next month.

The opponents of Besiktas in their quest to qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Europea League have been determined today. The Istanbul club will enter in the Second Qualifying round of the tournament.

The draws were held in UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Turkish club were seeded during the draw.

The Black Eagles will face the winner of the qualifying match number 17, which will be contested between OFK Titograd (of Montenegro) and their opponents, which will be the winner of the clash between B36 Torshavn (of Faroe Islands) and St Joseph’s FC (of Gibraltar).

In other words, first B36 Torshavn from Faroe Islands will play against Gibraltar’s St Joseph’s. The winning team will meet Montenegrin club OFK Titograd. Whoever wins that qualfier will be Besiktas’ opponent in the Europa League.

The winner of that knock out phase will square up to Besiktas for a chance to move on to the third qualifying round.

The Second Qualifying round fixtures will be played on July 26th and August 2nd.

The Super Lig giants finished 4th last season which means they must go through the qualifying stages of the tournament.
