Rayo Vallecano turn down Besiktas striker Negredo

The Spanish club declined the offer to sign Alvaro Negredo due to his wages.

Besiktas are looking to get striker Alvaro Negredo off their books as they seek to free up wages. They offered the 32-year-old to newly promoted Rayo Vallecano only for the club the immediately say no.

The Madrid based team were given the opportunity to transfer Negredo earlier this week.

Upon hearing the player’s salary, the club responded claiming they “managed to get promoted to La Liga for that amount”.

The Spanish striker earns €4,350,00 per season, however, with bonuses that figure goes over and beyond €5 million.

The Turkish club are desperate to sell the player this summer.

There have been rumours of interest from a couple of Chinese clubs and an offer is expected in the coming days however nothing has been confirmed at this point.
