Ricardo Faty joins Ankaragucu on two-year deal

The Senegal international has signed a deal with the Super Lig club after his contract with Bursaspor expired.

Ankaragucu have added Ricardo Faty to their ranks today, the club announced on their social media accounts. The signing ceremony was held in the club’s facilities in Ankara.

The 31-year-old defensive midfielder has agreed to a two-year deal with his new club. The former Bursaspor player said he is looking forward to the new challenge ahead of him.

“I am very happy to sign for such a club. I know the history and size of this club and I came to Ankarugucu without thinking twice about it. I had other offers from Europe and Turkey but I wanted Ankaragucu because there’s a big project ahead. I want to be a part of this project. I believe I can have a successful season here,” said the player.

The contract is a “1+1” deal, which means he is guaranteed a one-year contract and the second year is an extension if certain performance criteria are met.
