Besiktas bid for Basaksehir’s goalkeeper Babacan

Besiktas bid for Volkan Babacan

The Black Eagles have made an offer for Volkan Babacan.

Besiktas are actively trying to find a replacement for the now-departed Fabri who moved to Fulham last month. According to sources close to the club, they’ve tabled an undisclosed offer to sign city rivals Istanbul Basaksehir’s experienced goalkeeper Volkan Babacan.

The 29-year-old Turkish international is Basaksehir’s number one ‘keeper and it’s unlikely they would let him go without having a proper back-up themselves.

He made 40 appearances for his club last season, more than any other player in Basaksehir’s squad. In total, he has made over 100 appearances, thus far, for his club.
