Domagoj Vida: I want to stay

Croatian defender Vida: I want to stay

Croatian international Vida says he would like to remain with the Turkish club, despite the constant rumours surrounding his future.

After Besiktas defeated Austrian club LASK Linz in their quest to qualify for the Europa League group stages, Croatian defender Domagoj Vida spoke to reporters briefly in the tunnel.

The 29-year-old said he is not thinking about leaving Istanbul.

“I want to stay. I’m not thinking about leaving at the moment. My wife is also happy here. I want to continue with Besiktas but I don’t know what the future holds,” he said.

The central defender has been regularly linked with a move to England, with Arsenal and Liverpool being the top clubs who have been interested in signing the player.
