Konyaspor will wear Turkish Lira symbol on shirt

Konyaspor will wear Turkish Lira symbol next game

The Anatolian Eagle will have the symbol of the country’s currency on their shirt’s sleeve in their next game.

Konyaspor have decided to show support for Turkey’s currency, the Turkish Lira (TL), as it experiences severe economical troubles.

The Super Lig club will wear the TL symbol on their left sleeve in their next game, which is against Antalyaspor.

With the approval of the Turkish Football Federation, the club have made the decision and have asked other Super Lig teams to do the same.

The club’s president Hilmi Kulluk released a statement regarding the matter.

“It is crucial for our football team to come together and stand for our state and our nation during such days. Konyaspor are starting this movement and we invite all teams to support this action,” he said.
