Lille’s Yassine Benzia joins Fenerbahce on loan

The Aglerian international will spend 2018/2019 with the Yellow Canaries.

Fenerbahce have made one last transfer right before the transfer window closed for the summer. The Super Lig giants have signed Yassine Benzia from Ligue 1 outfit Lille on a one-year loan. Fener have the option to make the transfer permanent for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder arrived in Istanbul on Friday afternoon and was quickly transported to the club’s facilities to finalize the paperwork.

The club released a statement on their website confirming the transfer.

“Our club has loaned French club Lille’s Yassine Benzia for one year with the option to buy.

We wish the Algerian national team player success with our uniform.”

The French-born player is a natural attacking midfielder but is also capable of playing as a striker and a right-winger.
