FC Groningen interested in Fenerbahce's Erwin Koeman

The Dutch club have set their eye on Fenerbache’s caretaker Erwin Koeman.

Fenerbahce interim manager Erwin Koeman has revealed that he is wanted by Eredivisie outfit FC Groningen.

Speaking to reporters in Turkey, he talked about the club’s interest in him.

“I can’t say what the future holds. This is written in the stars. If I say no, then it means no. If I say yes, then it’s yes. Groningen is a club where I’ve been, where my father has been, where I played my first game, where I finished my playing career. I follow them closely. I tried to enjoy my time with Everton and now I’m doing the same with Fenerbahce. But Groningen are following me,” he explained.

The 57-year-old went on to say he is yet to receive an offer from the club, however.

“I haven’t received an offer from Groningen nor have I spoken to anyone.”
