Besiktas in talks with West Ham over Chicharito

The Black Eagles are hoping to sign West Ham forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez this January.

Besiktas have sent a representative to London to begin discussions with West Ham United for their out-of-form striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, according to Turkish media reports.

The Turkish club are interested in the Mexican star and are looking to add the proven goalscorer to their squad in the winter transfer window.

Since joining the English club, Chicharito has scored just 2 goals and has not found regular playing time under the club’s management.

This hasn’t deterred the Super Lig giants, however, as they see him fitting perfectly in Senol Gunes’ tactical set up in Istanbul.

Chicharito’s agent has held talks with Besiktas representative Umut Guner and the initial talks are reported to have been positive.

The deal presented is a six-month loan until the end of the season with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan.
