Besiktas linked with Japanese defender

Takehiro Tomiyasu linked with Besiktas

The Black Eagles are gearing up for next month’s transfer window and will be making changes to their squad.

Besiktas are considering making a move for Takehiro Tomiyasu, a promising centre-back currently playing for Belgian outfit Sint Truiden.

The 20-year-old is a tall, physically strong stopper, who is also being tracked by multiple clubs across Europe including Lazio, Udinese and Werder Bremen, and has caught Senol Gunes’ eye this season with his performances.

He has made 20 appearances and scored 1 goal for his club so far this season.

Besiktas are reported to be set to part ways with their key central defender, Pepe, who is in the final six months of his deal and could leave as early as January if a bid is made for the aging defender.
