Besiktas sign Turkish youngster from Dusseldorf

Besiktas sign Turkish youngster Muhayer Oktay

The Black Eagles have added a young Turkish midfielder to their squad from Germany.

Besiktas have signed Muhayer Oktay from German outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf, the club announced on Thursday.

The 19-year-old central midfielder has penned a four-and-a-half year contract with the Super Lig club.

The Hagen-born player had caught the eye of the club’s scouts during the season while playing for Fortuna Dusseldorf II in Germany’s fourth tier.

The transfer fee is reported to be €210,000.

Oktay has made 6 appearances for the Turkey Under-21 national team.
