Ricardo Quaresma set for Besiktas exit

Ricardo Quaresma leaves Besiktas

The Portuguese winger is expected to leave the Black Eagles due to issues with his wife.

Besiktas winger Ricardo Quaresma is headed for the exit door. The 35-year-old’s time as a Besiktas player is coming to an end as reports are circulating that he is pushing for a departure from Vodafone Park.

According to reports, the Portugal international is in the middle of a family dispute with his wife, who has left Istanbul with his children and returned to Portugal.

Despite the club’s attempts to convince him to remain until the end of the season, Quaresma has been adamant that he needs to leave this month in order to resolve his family issues.

The two parties are set for a meeting on Monday January 28 and will discuss the matter in order to settle their differences and part ways amicably.

Sources close to Besiktas are reporting that the Turkish club will have the player agree to a stipulation that he does not sign for any other team in Turkey once he leaves.

The experienced winger, the latest name to leave Besiktas after Pepe and Ryan Babel both left the Super Lig giants earlier this month, is rumored to join his boyhood club FC Porto once he leaves Besiktas.
