Anderlecht call off Yunus Akgun transfer

Yunus Akgun leaves agent Mike Stevic

The Belgian giants have been put off by the Galatasaray player’s agent’s demands.

Anderlecht have walked away from signing Galatasaray’s promising winger Yunus Akgun.

The Belgian side had their €3.5 million bid accepted by Galatasaray and were in advanced talks to sign the young Turkish talent.

However, the player’s agent, Miki Stevic, had demanded a €1 million commission to facilitate the transfer.

Anderlecht are reported to have been put off by the agent’s demands despite their attempt to negotiate a smaller agent fee.

If the had transfer went through, Galatasaray would have received 30% of any future sale. This would have been the defending Super Lig champions’ second academy sale after parting ways with Ozan Kabak for €11 million earlier this month.
