Kagawa scores brace in 2 minutes on Besiktas debut

The Japanese star has adjusted quickly to his surroundings, managing to score twice on his debut for Besiktas on Sunday.

Besiktas midfielder Shinji Kagawa made headlines throughout Turkey over the weekend with his on-field performance for Besiktas over the weekend. He came on as a substitute and bagged himself two goals as Besiktas thrashed Sivasspor 6-2 on Sunday.

The Japan midfielder, on loan until the end of the season from Borussia Dortmund, was substituted in for Adem Ljajic in the 81st minute and just moments after, he got his first goal with the Black Eagles jersey in the 82nd minute.

Kagawa ran at the defense with full speed and after a stepover feint pulled off a hard shot that saw the back of the net.

He wasn’t done just yet, however. In the 84th minute, he asked to take the direct free-kick that Besiktas were awarded several meters outside of the opposition’s penalty box.

Wwithout hesitation, he curved the ball into the back of the net once more, making the score 6-1 for the night.
