Chinese clubs tracking Gary Medel

Chinese clubs tracking Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel

The Chile international is wanted by clubs in the Far East.

Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel is high on the wish-list of a number of Chinese Super League clubs, according to reports from the player’s homeland.

Beijing Sinobo Guoan are one of the player’s admirers and are reported to be interested in signing the rugged midfielder this summer for a large sum.

The Chinese outfit sent scouts to watch Medel during last week’s Besiktas-Bursaspor game but because he did not feature in the game, they will have scouts present at the Besiktas-Fenerbahce derby hoping to assess the player before making an offer.

The 31-year-old’s contract with The Black Eagles expires in June 2020.
