The Canadian midfielder will be offered a non-playing role once he hangs up his cleats.

Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson will continue to represent Besiktas even after he retires, according to the club’s president Fikret Orman.

Speaking to beIN Sports, the Super Lig club’s president revealed that he has plans to offer the 36-year-old a non-playing role in the near future.

“We spoke with Atiba. Once he retires, he will be in our technical or administrative staff. We love him and his family very much. He is a part of the Besiktas family,” Orman said.

Atiba, who has been with the Black Eagles for six seasons, is in the final months of his contract with the Turkish club.

Orman also revealed the club’s plans to travel to Japan in July.

“Between 18 and 20 of July we will be in Japan as a team. We also want to play a game in Malaysia during that month,” he said.
