Turkey have started off their EURO 2020 qualifiers with a bang as they overcame Albania and Moldova in their first two qualifiers.

On Friday, March 22, the Turkish national team lined up against Albania in Shkoder where they managed to pick up the three points with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Burak Yilmaz and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Coached by newly appointed Senol Gunes, Turkey comfortably made it two wins out of two games as they defeated Moldova 4-0 at home on Monday, March 25.

The Crescent Stars hosted Moldova in Eskisehir where they dominated most of the game with almost 70% ball posession.

Thanks to first-half goals from full-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim and striker Cenk Tosun, the Turkish national team went into the half-time break with a comfortable 2-0 lead. In the second half, Cenk Tosun scored his second goal of the night while defender Kaan Ayhan scored his first goal ever for the senior national team.

In addition to Albania and Moldova, their other Group H opponents include France and Iceland.
