Cenk Tosun gifts signed shirt to struggling Turkish club

The Everton striker has sent the first jersey he wore at his new club to the financially-strapped Eskisehirspor.

Turkish international Cenk Tosun has caught news of Eskisehirspor’s financial woes and after scoring twice during the EURO 2020 Qualifier against Moldova, which was held in Eskisehirspor’s home ground, the striker has decided to lend the struggling club a hand.

The 27-year-old has sent the jersey he wore during his Everton debut and has asked for it to be auctioned to the highest bidder with all the proceeds going to the club.

Eskisehirspor, known as Es-Es, are currently in the relegation zone of the 1.Lig, Turkey’s second division.

Eskisehirspor’s Finances Vice-President Mehmet Simsek shared a photo of the signed jersey Tosun sent the club and explained the reason on his social media account.
