Turkey moves up in FIFA rankings

The Crescent Stars have moved up the rankings in the latest data published by FIFA.

The Turkish national team have received a small boost to their FIFA ranking after their two consecutive wins during the EURO 2020 qualifiers in March.

After defeating Albania and Moldova, respectively, Turkey have accumulated a total of 1,457 points which sees them move up to 39th place, according to the figures published by FIFA.

Belgium remain the top ranked team while World Cup winners France hold the second place and Brazil follow closely behind in third.

The appointment of Senol Gunes as Turkey’s new coach has been met with a positive response in the nation and fans will be hoping the Crescent Stars can extend their good start under his guidance.
