Guinean-Turkish right-back Nazim Sangare called up for Turkey

The Antalyaspor right-back has been included in the list of players for Turkey’s upcoming international fixtures.

Antalyaspor’s right-back Nazim Sangare has received his first call-up to the Turkish national team for the country’s upcoming friendlies and Euro qualifiers scheduled for next month.

On Friday, Senol Gunes announced his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Greece and Uzbekistan, as well as the Euro 2020 qualifiers against France and Iceland.

Sangare says it is his dream to play for Turkey.

“I cannot describe how proud I am to be able to play for my country. It was always a dream to play for my country. If you are ready to make the necessary sacrifices and work hard, your dreams come true. Thank you so much to everyone who has been with me so far,” the 24-year-old told reporters in Turkey.

Born in Cologne, Germany to a Guinean father and Turkish mother, Sangare is eligible to play for Turkey.
