Besiktas closing in on striker Tyler Boyd

The Black Eagles are in talks to sign the New Zealand-born striker Tyler Boyd.

Turkish football giants Besiktas are set to make their first signing of the summer as early as next week. The Istanbul club have agreed terms with striker Tyler Boyd, who played for Ankaragucu last season on loan from parent club Vitoria Guimaraes of Portugal.

The 24-year-old has agreed to join Besiktas, who are reported to be negotiating with the Portuguese club for the player’s transfer. The transfer fee is expected to be approximately €1 million and will be paid in installments.

While playing for Ankaragucu last season, the American international scored 6 goals and made 4 assists in 14 appearances for the club.
