Vagner Love files complaint with FIFA against Besiktas

Brazilian striker Vagner Love has shocked the club by filing an official complaint with FIFA against them.

Besiktas striker Vagner Love has filed an official complaint, through his lawyer, on the grounds that he has not been paid what is he is owed from last season by the Turkish club.

His legal team have put forward an executive order to FIFA and the Turkish Football Federation asking to be compensated. The player claims he is still owed back-pay of €700,000 from last season. The club have responded by saying they pay him in monthly installments as agreed upon.

The 33-year-old, who signed for the Black Eagles from Super Lig minnows Alanyaspor for €3.5 million in January 2018, earns a reported €2 million per year and has a contract until June 2020.

The player has complained previously about not being paid and had warned he would take action if the matter was not resolved.

The club’s president Fikret Orman is said to be angered by the player’s actions and after holding unsuccessful talks, have transfer listed the Brazilian looking to offload him this summer.
