Konyaspor sign Marko Jevtovic from Partizan

The Anatolian Eagle have signed the midfielder from Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade.

Konyaspor announced the signing of Marko Jevtovic at their club’s facilities. The defensive midfielder joined the Super Lig club from Serbia’s FK Partizan Belgrade for €500,000.

Jevtovic signed a two-year deal with a one-year extension possible if certain criteria are met.

The 24-year-old was presented by club president Selcuk Aksoy along with several other officials.

“We’ve added a very important name to our squad. At his young age, he’s already played in the Champions League and Europa League. He uses his physique to his advantage, he plays well with the ball. We believe he will be a great addition to our team. We welcome Marko and wish him the best,” Aksoy told reporters at the press conference.

The Serbian international said he was happy to join a big team in Turkey.

“First of all, I’m very happy to be here. I left a big team to join another big team here. I want to take my career to the next level here and I can’t wait to train and play with the team.”

He spoke briefly of his ambitions and hopes to qualify for Europe with Konyaspor in the coming season.

This is Konyaspor’s second signing this week. On Wednesday, they completed the transfer of Opanasenko from Ukraine.
